Active Travel Ambassadors
5th March 2025
Some of Oakwood’s Active Travel Ambassadors went to Sheffield Town Hall for their regional campaign junction on Tuesday, along with 5 other teams of pupils from schools across the region. They delivered a pitch to a panel of active travel experts for this year’s campaign ‘Park and Stride to Oakwood High’.
The ambassadors delivered a clear, professional and effective presentation which received extremely positive feedback from the panel. As a result, they were not only awarded £200 of basic funding to carry out their project, but also an extra £50 for an exceptional pitch!
We’re sure they will use this funding to help make ‘Park and Stride to Oakwood High’ a huge success
