Inspire Learning Trust is committed to making its websites accessible to as many people as possible. This accessibility statement applies to the following websites operated by Inspire Learning Trust:
We want everyone to be able to access our information and services online, regardless of technology, ability or individual needs.
We have designed our websites so that, wherever possible, you should be able to:
We also aim to use clear, straightforward language and structure our content so that it is as easy as possible to understand.
AbilityNet provides advice about making devices easier to use for people with disabilities.
A number of accessibility considerations have been incorporated into the design and development of our websites.
Our websites are designed to adapt to different screen sizes and devices, including desktop computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones.
We aim to ensure that website functionality can be accessed using a keyboard for users who are unable to use a mouse or other pointing device.
We use clear, legible fonts and aim to provide appropriate colour contrast and text sizing to make content easier to read.
Where appropriate, meaningful images and graphics are provided with alternative text so their content or purpose can be understood by people using screen readers.
Where appropriate, we aim to provide captions, transcripts and suitable descriptions or titles for multimedia content.
Where appropriate, forms use recognised fields, labels and validation to help users complete them and to support browser autocomplete functionality.
These websites are partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard because of the exemptions and areas of non-compliance described below.
Under the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018, certain content provided by schools and nurseries may be exempt from the accessibility requirements.
The exemption for primary and secondary schools and nurseries does not apply to content that people need in order to use essential online administrative functions or services provided by the organisation.
We nevertheless aim to make as much of our online content accessible as reasonably possible.
We are aware that some parts of our websites may not currently meet all accessibility requirements.
Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible to screen reader users or people navigating documents using assistive technologies.
Where possible, new documents will be produced with accessibility in mind. If you require information contained within an inaccessible document in an alternative format, please contact us.
Some embedded third-party maps, including Google Maps, may not be fully accessible when used within our websites. Where possible, we provide the relevant location or address information separately from the map.
Some forms, particularly those using bespoke or third-party styling and functionality, may not be fully accessible to users of assistive technologies.
We aim to provide appropriate alternative text for images that convey meaningful information. There may be instances where an image does not currently have an appropriate text alternative.
If you identify an image that requires alternative text, please contact us and we will review and rectify the issue where appropriate.
We aim to provide appropriate titles, captions and/or transcripts for video content where these are required for accessibility.
Some existing or third-party video content may not include all of these features. If you encounter video content that you cannot access, please contact us so that we can review the issue and, where possible, provide an accessible alternative.
We aim to ensure that links use meaningful and descriptive text so that users can understand their purpose or destination.
There may be instances where existing content contains link text that is insufficiently descriptive. We will review and correct these links when identified.
Where tables are necessary to present information, we aim to use appropriate table headings and structure so that the information can be understood by people using screen readers and other assistive technologies.
Some existing tables may not have been structured correctly for accessibility. We will review and correct these where issues are identified.
We aim to ensure that combinations of text and background colours provide sufficient contrast in accordance with WCAG 2.2 AA requirements.
There may be isolated instances where existing content or brand colours do not provide sufficient contrast. Where such issues are identified, we will review them and make appropriate improvements.
Accessibility is an ongoing process, and we will continue to review and improve our websites.

If you experience difficulty accessing third-party content through one of our websites, please contact us and we will assist where reasonably possible.
